Outdoor concert to hit the right note
The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford will be staging a Proms in the Park concert on 6th July 2013 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of RAF Cosford. This spectacular outdoor party will not only feature classic and modern music but also two aerobatic displays and a fireworks pageant that will end the night on a climatic note.
Women in aviation brought to life for half term
This May half term the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford will be celebrating the achievements made by women in aviation. From Monday 27th to Friday 31st May 2013 the Museum will be running sessions for families to enjoy, based on some of aviations most inspirational women.
Wolves legend Ron Flowers shares footballing memories
Ex England and Wolverhampton Wanderers Midfielder, Ron Flowers, will be visiting the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford to assist the Museum with their on-going project which examines the lives of footballers who served in the RAF, during and after the Second World War. Ron, now aged 79 will be visiting the Museum on Friday 10th May 2013 at 10.30am to meet with the Museums Access and Learning Team who are leading the research project.
Take off given for Cosford's Food Festival - 27th - 28th July 2013
This Summer the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford will be giving visitors to the popular West Midlands attraction a slice of variety, as it holds the first ever Cosford Food Festival. This brand new Museum event is set to tantalise taste buds with a bustling market of around 70 independent food and drink retailers, including local businesses and award winning brands.

A group of puppies will be heading to the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford on Wednesday 24th April 2013 as part of their essential trainee Guide Dog preparations.
70 years on - the Dambusters are remembered
The 16th May 2013 will mark 70 years since 19 Lancaster bombers took off from RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, on a mission to destroy German dams with a revolutionary bouncing bomb. The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford will be marking the 70th anniversary of this event with a Dambusters themed Orchestra Concert, a special talk entitled 'Operation Chastise - 70 years on, the successful failure', a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster and a bespoke model display depicting the raids.

This Easter holiday (1-12 April 2013) children can play detective as they take part in the hunt for giant size Easter eggs, hidden amongst the aircraft and exhibits on display at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford. The trail is sure to keep the younger members of the family entertained throughout their visit, plus there is a small prize for every successful participant to take home as a memento of the day.

Calling all bikers.this Spring, bikers from across the Midlands are invited to participate in a mass ride out in support of two local charities - Midlands Air Ambulance and the Royal Air Force Museum.
